چکیده

We present some necessary and su cient conditions (in terms of degrees of vertices) for locally nite tree T=(V; E) to be paradoxical, i.e. to have a partition V=V1∪V2 and one-to-one mappings fi :V → Vi; i=1; 2 such that the supremum of the distances between v and fi(v) over v ∈ V and i = 1; 2 is nite. c © 2000 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. A study on some properties of leap graphs

In a graph G, the first and second degrees of a vertex v is equal to thenumber of their first and second neighbors and are denoted by d(v/G) andd 2 (v/G), respectively. The first, second and third leap Zagreb indices are thesum of squares of second degrees of vertices of G, the sum of products of second degrees of pairs of adjacent vertices in G and the sum of products of firs...

A NOTE ON THE EQUISEPARABLE TREES

Let T be a tree and n_{l}(eIT) and n_{2}(eIT) denote the number of vertices of T, lying on the two sides of the edge e. Suppose T_{l} and T_{2} are two trees with equal number of vertices, e in T_{1} and f in T_{2}. The edges e and f are said to be equiseparable if either n_{l}(eIT_{I}) = n_{l}(fIT_{2}) or n_{l}(eIT_{I}) = n_{2}(fIT_{2}). If there is an one-to-one correspondence between the ver...

On the spectra of reduced distance matrix of the generalized Bethe trees

Let G be a simple connected graph and {v_1,v_2,..., v_k} be the set of pendent (vertices of degree one) vertices of G. The reduced distance matrix of G is a square matrix whose (i,j)-entry is the topological distance between v_i and v_j of G. In this paper, we compute the spectrum of the reduced distance matrix of the generalized Bethe trees.

On leap Zagreb indices of graphs

The first and second Zagreb indices of a graph are equal, respectively, to the sum of squares of the vertex degrees, and the sum of the products of the degrees of pairs of adjacent vertices. We now consider analogous graph invariants, based on the second degrees of vertices (number of their second neighbors), called leap Zagreb indices. A number of their basic properties is established.

Groups whose Bipartite Divisor Graph for Character Degrees Has Five Vertices

Let $G$ be a finite group and $cd^*(G)$ be the set of nonlinear irreducible character degrees of  $G$. Suppose that $rho(G)$ denotes the set of primes dividing some element of $cd^*(G)$. The bipartite divisor graph for the set of character degrees which is denoted by $B(G)$, is a bipartite graph whose vertices are the disjoint union of $rho(G)$ and $cd^*(G)$, and a vertex $p in rho(G)$ is conne...
